Healthy Drinkers ("Healthy Drinkers," "we," "our," or "us") provides educational recovery tools and insights. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use our recovery calculator, you may provide:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your biggest recovery challenge, if you choose to provide it.
  • Calculator inputs such as drink type and quantity, drinking duration, water intake, food status, and planned sleep duration.
  • Your consent to receive email communications from Healthy Drinkers.

Information processed automatically

We process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This may include your IP address, request timing, and Firebase App Check or reCAPTCHA Enterprise security signals. We use this information for fraud, abuse, and rate-limit protection.

Firebase Analytics receives cookieless measurement signals about page views, calculator interactions, device and browser characteristics, and approximate geographic location. We use aggregated reporting to guide product development and marketing planning. We do not send your name, email address, or calculator inputs to Firebase Analytics.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Calculate and display recovery and tomorrow-readiness estimates.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website and calculator.
  • Understand calculator usage and improve our models, content, and experience.
  • Send recovery insights, occasional feedback requests, newsletters, and relevant product or community updates when you have consented to receive them.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

Where applicable, we rely on your consent, the need to provide a service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Healthy Drinkers, or compliance with law.

3. Email communications

If you consent to email communications, we may contact you with recovery and wellness insights, educational material, feedback or research invitations, newsletters, product announcements, and community updates. We do not sell your email address.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before your withdrawal.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it:

  • With service providers that host, secure, or support Healthy Drinkers, including Google Firebase services such as Hosting, Cloud Functions, Firestore, App Check, Analytics, and reCAPTCHA Enterprise.
  • When required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.

Service providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and may process it in countries other than your own.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Healthy Drinkers and its security providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate and protect the service, including Firebase App Check and reCAPTCHA Enterprise. You can control browser storage through your browser settings, although blocking required technologies may prevent parts of the calculator from working correctly.

Firebase Analytics operates with analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization denied. It sends cookieless measurement signals automatically and does not use Analytics cookies or persistent Analytics identifiers. Browser privacy controls or content blockers may prevent these signals.

6. Data retention

Calculator submissions, contact details, consent records, inputs, and generated outcomes may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, understand product usage, improve Healthy Drinkers, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Security and rate-limit records are retained only as needed for abuse prevention.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies you. We will delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw communications consent at any time.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Health and wellness disclaimer

Healthy Drinkers provides educational information, generalized estimates, and informational wellness insights only. Recovery scores, tomorrow-readiness scores, sleep or hydration insights, calorie estimates, recommendations, and related outputs are not medical advice, diagnoses, treatment, or clinical assessments.

Results use general assumptions and information you provide and may not reflect your individual health status. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about medical concerns or health decisions. If you may have alcohol poisoning or another emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

10. Children's privacy

Healthy Drinkers is intended only for people who are legally permitted to consume alcohol in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Healthy Drinkers changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
